Corey opened his eyes and let out a deep sigh. The others looked at him expectantly.

"The way is open but there is a repelling barrier not too far ahead."

"What type of barrier is it?" asked Shawn.

Corey closed his eyes. "Necromantic," he replied quietly.

"Damn, man! I knew this would fucking happen!" came Sid's voice from the back. He ran a hand through his hair and looked out into the distance, so as to not face the pitying looks from the others.

"It can't be that bad," Joey said, reaching for Sid's other hand. He looked towards Corey. "How far does it stretch out?"

"That's the problem," Corey said, shaking his head. "Usually they surround a small perimeter, usually disappearing at the edges, but this one can be seen for miles."

"Very protective of their land," James commented, with his hands in his pockets.

"Or keeping something in," Paul remarked. The others looked in his direction to see him kneeling on the ground with his hands placed on the dirt.
